OUR HARVEST THANKSGIVING IS ON 2nd OCTOBER
Please help homeless people living in Greater Manchester by giving requested foods to the Booth Centre. The requested foods are:

tinned corned beef and ham

tinned meat, potatoes and veg for stews

cook-in sauces for pasta
-
biscuits and cakes
-
tinned fruit, custard and rice pudding
-
coffee, cup-a-soups and sugar

Please help people living elsewhere in the world through Tearfund. Read an example of their development work in Uganda in the September parish magazine. Buy a soup and bread lunch after worship on 2 October, and make a donation of extra cash.
Please contribute to the Harvest Thanksgiving by giving towards the flowers – there is a dish at the back.

Margaret Taylor and Judy Kane have been authorised by Bishop Nigel to be Communion Assistants, administering the Blood of Christ during worship at St Thomas’. This follows the request of our Church Council. We are grateful for Margaret and Judy’s willingness to offer for this role.
Shelagh Wynne has sent a prayer letter. Based in Thailand, Shelagh shares in the admin of Friends of China, and is the CMS mission partner whom we support.
Coffee Concerts at Manchester Cathedral: Saturdays at 11am in the Cathedral. Violin and cello by Bach on September 17, organ on October 15, string quartet on November 19. Poster in the porch.
