Festival of St Luke (16 for 18 October) 2011
|
Laying on of hands, with or without anointing and prayer for healing of spirit, emotions and body are available in the South Transept (to the right of the pulpit) immediately after 10.30am Sunday Worship, on request to any of the following: Andrew or Biddy Dawson, Kathy or Graham Lees, Alf Wild or Barbara Duxbury. If possible ask someone other than Graham or Andrew, as they are the least likely to be available. The person you approach will ask another member of the Healing Team to join you both in the South Transept for ministry. Mavis Booth thanks everyone for their concern and their prayers. The good news is that she does not need to see her consultant again for 12 months! The Booth Centre has expressed its thanks for our Harvest contributions for homeless people by sending a certificate, which is now posted in the porch. Tearfund received £135 from St Thomas’ over Harvest – many thanks! A Service for Lives Cut Short: names are read out, candles lit and prayers said in memory of those whom we love but see no more. Ring Sheila Hannam-Andrews on 0161 330 8728 if you want a particular name to be read out. Friday 21 October, 7.30pm at the Cathedral. “The Word Revealed”: a service to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the KJV. Andrew has a few spare free tickets. Sunday 23 October, 3pm at the Cathedral. Werneth Partners and Community Together (PACT): all are welcome to talk about local issues with Ward Councillors, Police and others.
