Laying on of hands and anointing: for healing of mind, body and spirit is available after 10.30 worship every Sunday in the South Transept (to the right of the pulpit).  You will not be invited to say specifically why you seek this ministry, though you are welcome to do so if you wish. You are also welcome to request prayer on behalf of someone else, in addition to or instead of yourself.

Visit the Holy Week and Easter tableaux:imagine you are among the first disciples then, and that Jesus is with you now. Please will those who constructed them remove them during the week 25 April - 1 May.

Our Annual Parochial Church Meetingis on Sunday 25 April at 11.30am in St Thomas’. It is the responsibility of everyone to take part, to show an interest in what each other are seeking to do in the name of Christ. There are some vacancies in the Church Council for which nomination forms will be available soon.

Questions to Parliamentary Candidatesin Oldham West and Royton, chaired by Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali. 6pm on Sunday 25 April at Christ Church, Chadderton.

Home Groups will resume on Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 April, both at 8pm.

Celebration Eveningfor all, hosted by the Mothers’ Union, with Bishop Richard Inwood, at the Bridgewater Hall at 7.30pm on Wednesday 26 May (the same evening as the Licensing of Nick Andrewes as Priest-in-Charge of St Paul’s). Tickets £6, coach seat extra, from Mavis Booth.

  • Give thanks and pray for people we know in Christian service and outreach, especially Joe and Denny Fleming at the Christian Medical Centre in Vellore, India, engaged not only in medical work but in witnessing to non-Christians and equipping Christians among staff and students; D, M and K W, teaching English and giving Christian experience to adults and children; Shelagh Wynne in Thailand, an administrator equipping serving Friends of China; all involved in service and outreach at the Salt Cellar.
  • People seeking asylum: Pray for David, Sobia, young Sara and baby Daniel William; Oldham Unity’s legal fund.
  • Those who are unwell: give thanks for progress in Ivy Reynolds. Continue to pray for her, and for Chris Butler, Wendy Robinson, Norman and Alma Flint, Andy and Ruth Sharrock, Beatrice Howard, baby Harry Pleasant, Barbara Hogg, John Lalley, Grace Whetham, Muriel Brown, young twins Todd & Aaron Funnell, John Wrigley, Angela and Norman Taylor, Ronald Spivey, Julie Brown, Jenny Brisland, Janet Morris and others whom we know.
