The Altar Cross is back where it belongs after a long time away because of negotiations over its repair, which in the end will be paid by insurance. Werneth Neighbourhood Agreement: neighbourhood agreements are a recent initiative elsewhere in the UK, and have been in place in Hathershaw and Fitton Hill for a year or two. In a sentence, it is an agreement between residents and the Council, Police, Housing Providers etc. All promise to work together.
