Laying on of hands, with or without anointing and prayer for healing of spirit, emotions and body are available in the South Transept (to the right of the pulpit) immediately after 10.30am Sunday Worship.

Margaret Taylor and Judy Kane have been authorised by Bishop Nigel to be Communion Assistants, administering the Blood of Christ during worship at St Thomas’. This follows the request of our Church Council. We are grateful for Margaret and Judy’s willingness to offer for this role.

“Living as a Faith Minority” in UK, Pakistan, etc. The Revd Rana Khan, Interfaith Assistant to the Archbishop of Canterbury, will introduce the topic. He has been seconded from Lahore Diocese, Pakistan. On Monday 5 September, 7.15 at St Barnabas, Arundel Street, Clarksfield. Lifts from Andrew.

Shelagh Wynne has sent a prayer letter. Based in Thailand, Shelagh shares in the admin of Friends of China, and is the CMS mission partner whom we support.

Jonathan Shaw is taking part in this year’s Ride and Stride event in aid of the Historic Churches Preservation Society. You can sponsor him by signing the form at the back.

Coffee Concerts at Manchester Cathedral: Saturdays at 11am in the Cathedral. Violin and cello by Bach on September 17, organ on October 15, string quartet on November 19. Poster in the porch.

Health walks of approx 1km are published by OMBC and NHS. A selection are available free at the back. If more are required, ask Biddy Dawson.

Articles on Pakistan in the current issue of ‘GO’, the magazine of Interserve, including providing healthcare in Taliban territory and an interview with a Pakistani bishop.

Evening courses from September: “Reason & Faith”; “Pearl’s Church (the Church in 2031?)”; 1 Thessalonians; Christian Mentoring; Ephesians. All take place in Didsbury, and cost £25 for 5 sessions (£15 unwaged). Leaflets at the back. Consult Biddy Dawson.
