Laying on of hands and anointing: for healing of mind, body and spirit is available after 10.30 worship every Sunday in the South Transept (to the right of the pulpit).  You will not be invited to say specifically why you seek this ministry, though you are welcome to do so if you wish. You are also welcome to request prayer on behalf of someone else, in addition to or instead of yourself.

The Licensing of Nick Andrewes at St Paul’s will take place on Wednesday 26 May at 7.30pm.

Bishop Nigel thanks us for giving £21,059 in 2009 which was the total asked for as our Parish Share for the work of the Diocese. Most of it was spent on Andrew and the vicarage. In 2010 we are asked for £18,024 (less, because there are fewer of us and our combined income is less).

Lent group times and venues:there will be two opportunities for Bible discussion. Please sign the clipboard with all times which are possible for you – Mondays 10.15-11.45; Mondays 1.30-2.45; Tuesday evenings 8-9.45; Wednesdays 1.30-2.45; Wednesday evenings 8-9.45; Thursdays 10.15-11.45. We need to know all your possible times in order to find the times which are common to as many people as possible.

Any Questions on Faith? Leaders of the Christian, Hindu, Jewish and Muslim faiths will be present. St Anne’s Church, Royton, this Tuesday, 7 until 8.30pm.

The Chair of our School Governors Designate is Pam Brocklehurst. Pauline Pleasant will remain in the post until the end of the school year. Many thanks to both.

Playbuilder Scheme to improve Werneth Park: consultation event from 1 - 3pm this Thursday in the Lifelong Learning Centre.

A handrail at the Chancel stepsis being planned. We are now at the stage of seeking a Faculty (permission) from the Diocese. The details are posted in the porch. The Cof E is exempt from local authority planning procedures because it undertakes its own.

Young people becoming Christians: see ‘Flow’, the magazine of The Message, the organisation at work in Manchester and elsewhere.
