Laying on of hands and anointing: for healing of mind, body and spirit is available after 10.30 worship every Sunday in the South Transept (to the right of the pulpit).  You will not be invited to say specifically why you seek this ministry, though you are welcome to do so if you wish. You are also welcome to request prayer on behalf of someone else, in addition to or instead of yourself.

Holiday Club: we thank God that an average of over 40 children enjoyed baking, crafts, watching drama, games etc. – and in all these, learning about some of the parables of Jesus. We thank the team of 8 full-time and 6 part-time helpers, and above all Kathy and Graham Lees who led the team.

Werneth Ward PACT meeting:(Partners and Community Together) an opportunity to talk to councillors, local government officers and others. This Thursday, 6.30pm at Christ Church, Chadderton.

Faith trail from Union Street United Reformed Church, via Jamia-Ahl-E-Hadeeth Mosque and Shree Swami Naryan Temple, to St Patrick’s RC Church. 1.45pm this Wednesday, see poster in the porch.

Gaze Art Exhibition by children: some funny, some tragic, many beautiful. Manchester Cathedral, 24 July to 7 August.

Diabetes briefing:on future services, with a question-and-answer session. 6pm buffet for 6.30 to 8pm meeting, Thursday 12 August at the Link Centre, Union Street. Book on 0161 622 5700.

BBQ for Zimbabwe:at the Vicarage (hopefully outside!) on Sunday 8 August at 1pm. Bring yourself, and a donation, but not food as this will be provided. Funds raised through Tearfund.

Our School’s Summer Fairraised £479 for the RSPCA – many thanks to all who helped with the Cake Stall.

Oldham Unity still need supermarket carrier bags and egg boxes for their free food shop for asylum-seekers.

 

Manchester Diocesan Healing Day:run by the well-respected Acorn Christian Healing Foundation. Saturday 4 September, 10am to 4pm at Manchester Cathedral. Leaflets with booking forms at the back, please hand completed form to Barbara Duxbury by 25 July. Cost is £10. Bring your own lunch.
